Raj and Isabelle got married on August 8, 2026, at Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park, Montana, with the lake and the mountains as the backdrop for the whole day.

It was a day built around the people who matter most to them: a first look on the shore, a first look with Isabelle’s dad, vows on a deck above the water, and a reception in a timber pavilion that ended with everyone on the dance floor.

I photographed the day on both film and digital, and so many of my favorite frames are the in-between ones: soft light over the lake, wildflowers tucked into her hair, and a lot of hugs.

01 · The Morning

A slow morning among the pines at Lake McDonald

The day started in the forest: gold shoes and vows laid out in the grass, Isabelle’s dress hanging from the trees, and a calm morning getting ready with her people.

02 · First Look

A first look on a forest bridge, then down to the lake

Raj and Isabelle saw each other for the first time on a little wooden bridge in the woods, then walked down to the shore of Lake McDonald with the mountains in the haze behind them.

Isabelle also shared a first look with her dad. His reaction says it all.

04 · The Wedding Party

Friends, family and the forest

Then the wedding party joined in, with bridesmaids in every color and a lot of celebrating on the lawn.

05 · The Ceremony

A Glacier National Park wedding ceremony above the lake

Florals and garlands were waiting on the deck. Isabelle walked down with her dad, and they said their vows with the mountains behind them, then celebrated all the way back down the aisle and into hugs from family.

06 · Cocktail Hour + Dinner

Dinner in the timber pavilion

Dinner was set in the timber pavilion, with wildflowers on every table. In between came the marriage certificate, time with friends on the lawn, a cake with framed photos, and plenty of toasts and hugs.

07 · The Dance Floor

And then everyone danced

As the night went on, the pavilion turned into a dance floor: chair lifts, sunglasses, a break for cake and late-night snacks, and a party that didn’t slow down.
